Right now I work on an User Experience Infrastructure team at a large financial and insurance company. This gives me an interesting balance of Front-end, infrastructure, and User Experience projects. Fortunately, all of those types of work allow me to do my favorite thing which is take something that is painful/tedious/annoying/time-consuming/inefficient and turn it into something easy and seamless.

I'm not a full-stack developer, and I don't think I intend to be. I think this stems from me wanting to be a "master of few" technologies. Below is a quick hit-list of where I'm focusing my attention.

  • Front-end technologies: Nodejs, Dustjs, Gruntjs, Bootstrap, Backbone, etc
  • Anything involving making the User Experience portion of making a product awesome
  • Continuous Integration with Jenkins
  • The Atlassian stack: Jira, Confluence, Stash, and SourceTree
